July 2026: the busiest and most fun month of the year for ISG Security

For ISG Security, July was the busiest month of the year. It’s no coincidence that it was also the most enjoyable. The event season was in full swing, and the team was involved in an impressive series of productions, ranging from multi-day festivals to large-scale public events throughout the country.

The summer season brings a different dynamic than the regular, day-to-day assignments that ISG handles on an ongoing basis. While property security and regular services require continuity, event security demands something different: adapting on the spot, switching between target audiences and clients, and working with flexible, often changing teams. Every event has its own audience, its own risks, and its own atmosphere, and security must seamlessly align with these factors each time.

July showcased this in full force. The team was on hand at Kwaku, Milkshake, Landjuweel, No Art, Pawsa, Keti Koti, and Loungefest, among others—events that each spanned several days or even an entire weekend. Diverse audiences, different clients, and a different approach each time—but always with the same core focus: visible, people-centered safety for every visitor.

Planning for a month like that is an art in itself. On a single weekend, more than 500 ISG staff members were on site, spread across multiple locations and productions simultaneously. That requires precise schedules, effective communication between teams, and the flexibility to make last-minute adjustments when a production calls for it. When everything comes together and the productions run smoothly, that’s exactly what gives the team the greatest sense of satisfaction.

Safety that doesn’t get in your way

Good event security really only stands out when you have to pay attention to it. Most visitors experience a festival or event as a carefree day, and that’s exactly the goal. Behind that sense of normalcy is a team that keeps a watchful eye all day long: where are the crowds, where is tension building, who needs help, and how do you ensure that hundreds or thousands of people can move about freely without anything going wrong.

Visitors notice this especially in the little things. A security guard who is approachable rather than just being there. Someone who points you in the direction of the first-aid station or the assembly point without you having to ask. A clear presence at the entrances and exits, without making it feel like a barrier to walk somewhere. That visibility works both ways: it keeps people with bad intentions at bay, and it gives visitors the feeling that they have somewhere to turn if something happens.

Here’s what we often tell visitors: don’t wait until it’s too late to ask for help. If you see something unusual, lose sight of someone in a crowded area, or feel uncomfortable about something, just approach the nearest security guard. That’s exactly what the team is there for, and the sooner something is reported, the easier it is to resolve. Simple things help, too: at a large event, agree on a specific meeting spot with your group in case you lose track of each other, and when it’s crowded, follow the marked routes instead of trying to find your own way through the crowd.

For the team itself, effective security is above all about thinking ahead. Each event receives its own briefing, tailored to the type of audience, the location, and the associated risks. Security at a family event like Milkshake requires a different approach than at a multi-day festival like Landjuweel, and that difference in approach is exactly where the team’s experience makes all the difference. It’s not about applying the same approach to everyone, but about sensing what an event and its visitors need.

What also sets those July events apart is the way ISG approaches security—not as a distant, formal presence, but as a visible and accessible part of the event itself. Visitors should feel welcome while also knowing they are well taken care of. That combination of professionalism and hospitality is what characterizes festival and event security at ISG, and it is precisely why clients continue to rely on the team during peak season.

With the festival season stretching into late summer, the calendar remains packed. For ISG, this comes as no surprise—it’s what the team works toward all year long: being ready when things get busy, and doing so with just as much energy at the fiftieth event of the summer as at the very first.
