For five days, Amsterdam was once again all about music, international artists, and thousands of partygoers. Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2026 has come to a close! Once again this year, ISG Security was on hand with various security teams to help ensure safety and a great atmosphere at various SONA events—from the iconic Westerkerk in Amsterdam to the industrial grounds of Taets Art and Event Park in Zaandam.
Event Security During ADE 2026
With over 600,000 visitors spread over five days, Amsterdam Dance Event ranks among the largest electronic music events in the world. An event of this magnitude requires effective organization, clear safety protocols, and professional security. For ISG Security, ADE has become a familiar fixture on the calendar. During this year’s edition, our security guards once again provided support for various parties and festivals, each with its own unique character, audience, and security challenges.
Rain or no rain, the atmosphere was great! From the Westerkerk in Amsterdam to Taets in Zaandam. During ADE 2026, our teams were active at various locations for SONA events. One of the most special venues was the Westerkerk in the heart of Amsterdam. Events featuring Monkey Project and Reznik, among others, took place here. It was an impressive setting where music, architecture, and the audience came together. Our security teams were also on hand at No Art and GOLFOS on the grounds of Taets Art and Event Park in Zaandam. The differences between these venues clearly demonstrate just how versatile event security can be. A party in a historic building requires a different approach than a large-scale event on a sprawling festival grounds. Visitor flows, access control, the surrounding area, and the layout vary by location. That’s why we always tailor our security operations to the event, the organization, and the specific risks.
Effective event security starts with prevention
During an event like ADE, there’s an incredible amount happening all at once. Visitors are arriving, artists are moving between venues, and on the dance floor, it’s all about the music and the experience. For our security guards, this means staying constantly alert. It’s not just about responding when an incident occurs, but above all about recognizing situations early and preventing them whenever possible. This starts right at the entrance. How is the flow of visitors proceeding? Are there any signs of unrest? How are people moving through the venue? And where is extra attention needed? By observing carefully, communicating with one another, and approaching visitors in a friendly manner, many situations can be resolved before they escalate. We also believe it’s important for our security guards to be part of the positive atmosphere. After all, visitors come to enjoy a great evening. Professional event security is therefore not just about surveillance and safety, but also about people skills, experience, and the ability to act at the right moment.
Proud of our security teams
An event like ADE demands a lot from our staff. Long shifts, varying work schedules, different locations, and an environment where something is constantly happening. Once again, our colleagues demonstrated great dedication, professionalism, and commitment during this edition—from the first visitors at the entrance to the last partygoers leaving the venue. Behind the scenes, we work hard to ensure everything runs as safely and smoothly as possible. As an organization, we’re incredibly proud of that! We’d also like to thank SONA and all the organizers involved for their trust and wonderful collaboration.
