Uitmarkt Amsterdam
The Uitmarkt in Amsterdam is the national launch of the cultural season. We present the national arts and culture offerings for the coming year and celebrate the quality and diversity of art and culture. We do this on Friday, August 26, Saturday, August 27, and Sunday, August 28, with an adapted concept and fresh program focused on Museumplein and Leidseplein, broadcast nationwide via NPO. The Uitmarkt this year has three components: Uitmarkt: in Concert, Uitmarkt: the Culture Garden, and Uitmarkt: on Location.
For 45 years, the Uitmarkt in Amsterdam has marked the national start of the cultural season. After two years in which the entire cultural sector has been hard hit, it is now time to recover. As usual, we present the national arts and culture offerings for the coming season and celebrate the enormous quality and diversity of art and culture. We do this, as always, on the last weekend of August: Friday, August 26, Saturday, August 27, and Sunday, August 28, but with an adapted concept and program focused on Museumplein and Leidseplein, broadcast nationwide. This year’s Uitmarkt has three parts: Uitmarkt: in Concert, Uitmarkt: the Culture Garden, and Uitmarkt: on Location. For more information, check out the Uitmarkt program. The Uitmarkt is organized by XSAGA Festivals, commissioned by the Uitmarkt Foundation.
