Become an event security guard with an ESO training program that pays for itself
Do you want to work at the places everyone wants to go? As an event security guard, you’ll be right in the middle of the biggest festivals in Amsterdam and the surrounding area. No office, no set nine-to-five schedule—just work that lets you be part of the action. At ISG Security, you can get started on that path, even if you don’t have any experience or a degree yet.
To work legally as an event security guard, you need the ESO certificate—the Surveillance and Law Enforcement Exam. That training costs 350 euros with us, and the great thing is that you’ll easily earn that amount back by working through ISG. And once you’ve earned your diploma, it’s yours to keep. You can then use it to work anywhere—at other companies, festivals, and events throughout the Netherlands.
4 Good Reasons why you should take our ESO course!
How the ESO Training Program Works at ISG Security
You don’t need any prior experience. It starts with signing up and an introductory meeting, so we can get to know each other and see if it’s a good fit. After that, you’ll begin the training program to become an event security officer. You’ll go through the program at your own pace, and we’ll be there to support you every step of the way. As soon as you’ve earned your ESO diploma, you’ll receive your security guard ID card and will be officially eligible for assignment. From that moment on, you’ll start working at our events and gradually earn back the 350 euros you spent on your training through the hours you work. It’s simple and risk-free.
Work at Amsterdam's biggest festivals
As an event security guard at ISG, you’re not just stationed anywhere. We’re the official security partner for festivals such as Kwaku, Milkshake, Reggae Lake, No Art, Keine Musik, and Amsterdam Museum Night. So you’ll be working right where the action is. The work takes place mainly on weekends, in the evenings, and during summer vacation. This makes it easy to balance the job with school or another job. For many of our team members, festival security is an ideal part-time job in Amsterdam, with flexible hours and a team that knows the ropes.
Why choose a security training program through ISG Security?
You’ll simply earn back the cost of your training, so you won’t have to pay anything out of pocket. You’ll work at attractive locations, and you’ll never be on your own—you’ll always be part of an experienced team. You’ll receive excellent guidance and clear communication, from the briefing through the end of your shift. What’s more, your diploma is recognized nationwide. At ISG, those who prove themselves are quickly given more responsibility, and many of our team leaders started out exactly that way. Whether you’re looking for a good part-time job for a while or taking your first step toward a career in security, you’ll be building something that lasts.
Who is this for?
You can start working at ISG if you’re at least 21 years old and available on weekends or during summer break. You don’t need any experience or a degree—you’ll gain that with us. What you do need is the right attitude: you’re calm, you keep a clear head, and you interact with people in a pleasant manner. Visible, hospitable, and reliable—that’s what event security is all about.
