Kwaku Summer Festival celebrated its 50th anniversary this year.

What once began as a neighborhood soccer tournament has grown into one of Amsterdam’s largest and most recognizable cultural events. For four weekends, the Nelson Mandela Park in Amsterdam-Zuidoost was filled with music, dance, sports, food, film and encounters.

For ISG Security, this edition was extra special: 15 years in a row permanent security partner of Kwaku.

Four weekends of safety and hospitality at Kwaku
Kwaku is not a one-day event. With four weekends in a row, the festival requires a security approach that is both operationally tight and welcoming. This means:

The size and duration of the festival demand precision in planning, flexibility and a team that knows how to find each other blindfolded. This year, too, ISG worked closely with the organization and other partners to ensure that visitors could enjoy themselves carefree and the organization could rely on peace of mind and overview.

Kwaku is an event with meaning
Kwaku is more than music and sports: it is a celebration of the identity of Amsterdam-Zuidoost and a meeting place where cultures come together. The festival attracts visitors of all ages and backgrounds and plays an important role in the city’s cultural calendar.
